AE Monthly on the Americana Exchange site features articles on rare books and the rare book business.

Arts & Letters Daily. Read and click until your eyes feel like fried eggs.

Book_Arts-L Archives, the archives of an electronic discussion group.

The BookHive. "Your Guide to Children's Literature & Books" from the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County (NC).

Book Links: Connecting Books, Libraries and Classrooms. A publication focusing on children's books.

BOOKNews, a UK site with announcements of new books in science, technology and medicine.

Booknotes, the companion site (with transcripts) to C-SPAN's series of interviews with the authors of non-fiction books. Although the program has ceased, the archives of the 800 shows will remain online.

BookSense. This group marketing tool for independent booksellers does include lots of reviews and descriptions.

BookSpot, a grabbag of a site which should keep any reader or book buyer busy for a while.

The Constant Reader. A wonderfully quirky selection of books. Each issue gives you poetry and photography as well as book reviews.

Criticas, the only U. S. magazine in English devoted to the Spanish-language publishing market. Updated monthly.

Dr. Dobb's Electronic Review of Computer Books.

Education Review A Journal of Book Reviews. Books on education, that is.

E-STREAMS: Electronic reviews of science and technology references focusing on engineering, agriculture and medicine.

Ex Libris: An Electronic News and Discussion Group for Those Interested in Rare Books and Special Collections.

Genrefluent: The World of Genre Fiction from the author of Genreflecting who says that she doesn't bother to finish or review books she doesn't like.

H-Net Reviews. Collected reviews from the more than 80 online discussion groups in humanities and social sciences which make up the "H-Net".

Horn Book, one of the best known magazines on children's books.

Locus Online for keeping up with science fiction.

Midwest Book Review. The slant here is towards those interested in writing themselves, but the coverage is wide and includes reviews of children's books.

New York Times Books section. Free registration may be required.

Reference Reviews, three newsletters on the Gale site: "Peter's Digital Reference Shelf", "Reference for Students" [K-12], and "Lawrence Looks at Books". The archives for "Rettig on Reference" are still posted here too. Resources reviewed are not just Gale publications.

Scitech Daily Review. A sister publication to Arts & Letters Daily and equally capable of sucking you into the web...

TER: Technology Electronic Reviews. From the Library & Information Technology Association. Reviews of some very specialized books along with titles slanted to libraries.

Technology & Society, an interesting mix of titles -- some very geekish.

Unix Review.com has a useful book review section for those buying more technical titles.

Writers Write: the Internet Writing Journal. Has a general book review section, not just books on writing.
